The Pantuf project sprung up in 2006. It was a cold winter day and I was spending a nice afternoon with some close friends talking about the little two year old boy of a dear friend. It was just a flash of inspiration and the of creating a special line for babies and young children was born. We wanted something special for them: handmade blankets as warm as the ones knitted by our grandmothers,soft embroidered sheets and warm quilts to dream. In a short time the idea became a project and the project a business where we could share the experience gained working toghether in the fashion industry for several years. Our collection, dedicated to the cradle and crib, combines natural rich materials like linen and cashmere with more eclectic materials: jersey and cotton plush. The result is a series of lovely sets of sheets studded with amusing though discreet embroidery work accompanied by duvets and eiderdown bags in unusual colours borrowed from adult fashion: white wash, grey, sage, powder pink and raspberry orange. Elaborate finished details are also used for the hand-crafted cashmere blankets.
